Beyond the anger, the hurt, the pain we bear
The joy of his birth will always be there
And when our grieving here is done
He'll be remembered, as his mother's son
In his daddy's heart he'll live on forever
and be his poppy's little proby
So smart so clever
The closeness that grew between those two
Happens once in a lifetime to a chosen few
And to hear him say poppy, that familiar call
Will live on forever, in the hearts of all
I remember one brief hospital stay
Mommy hold my hand, I heard him say
I thought to myself
What a loving way to let her know she comforts his day
Danny we love you
That's your family's voice
Because you're so special
You're now God's choice
Don't be afraid and walk forth without fright
For someday as a family we'll reunite
When once again, on mommy's chest you'll lay your head
Loving words will be spoken and no tears will be shed
So for those of us who remain to mourn
Let's bless the day this child was born
